The day before the First Biennial Anthony Powell Conference the Society organised a lunch for a small number of members at The Ritz Hotel, setting for a number of key scenes in Dance. Following a splendid lunch the company was entertained with a short talk from Society President Hugh Massingberd (centre of picture on right, wearing a blue tie) about Anthony Powell at The Ritz.
